The Best Keto Teriyaki Salmon Recipe

A Tatse of Asia

What’s great about being on the Ketogenic diet, is having the opportunity to taste so many different types of cuisine. Today at The Keto Cookbook, we’re focusing on Asia, and bring you the best keto teriyaki salmon recipe in the world. It’s very simple to make and you may even have some of the ingredients already. If not, all the ingredients can be easily picked up in your local store.

Even though the recipe takes a while to make, this is mostly due to the length of cooking required. The preparation stages are not difficult and you won’t need to have lots of pans on the go. So, let’s take a look at the recipe and nutrition information!

Recipe Information

The main ingredient in this recipe is salmon. Unfortunately, though, we wouldn’t suggest substituting this for pork or chicken. The flavors really don’t work well together and the meat often has a hard time trying to absorb all the liquid from the sauce. However, if you are vegetarian, halloumi cheese or non-starchy vegetables are always good options.

The sauce ingredients have rich, salty flavors, whilst the brown sugar adds an extra stickiness. However, if you are being very strict with your keto diet, or are on an Atkins diet for example, it’s perfectly ok to forgo the sugar. This will eliminate the carbohydrates in the recipe, but be warned, it’ll taste very salty!

The salad onions finish off this recipe nicely, adding a tasty crunch. The fresh ginger also adds a wonderful zing!

Nutrition Information

The greatest thing about this keto teriyaki salmon recipe is the protein. It contains a huge 29 grams, which is more than enough to keep you going until breakfast! Furthermore, it only contains 276 calories, which is perfect for anyone watching their weight. There are a fair few carbs in this recipe, but as previously mentioned, if you either forgo the sugar or just limit the amount, these will decrease. Finally, it contains a massive 10 grams of fat, which is perfect for keeping your macros in check.

Recipe Information

So, now that you’re a keto master in training, let’s talk about the ingredients. Salmon is a given, but feel free to use a smoked filet if that takes your fancy. We also like to pair ours with quinoa, as it’s packed full of protein and barely contains any carbohydrates.

Now for the radish puree. It sounds super fancy, like something you would be served in a restaurant, but it’s actually really simple to make. All you need is radishes (yes, we still feel the need to mention them), sharp cheddar cheese and flavourings such as salt and pepper. Then all you do is boil the radishes, chuck them into a food blender with the cheese and seasonings, press “go” and ta-da! There is your sharp and tangy radish puree!

Nutrition Information

This recipe comes in at a tiny 388 calories, which is perfect for anyone watching their weight. And since it contains a massive 31 grams of protein, it’ll be hard to find a recipe anywhere on the worldwide web that has this sort of nutrition. Carbs come in quite high at 14 grams, but this is mostly due to the quinoa. So if that figure is too high for any keto-ers out there, feel free to leave it out. But finally, keto lovers can rejoice, as this recipe contains a whopping 14 grams of fat. Perfect for getting your macros in check!

So, now that we’ve got your taste-buds tingling, open that blender and finally become the ultimate keto master!

The Best Keto Swordfish Recipe

Swordfish is one of the most popular fishes in the world for cooking with. This is because they are very large animals and so their meat can be sold as rich, flavourful steaks. The meat also has a strong, firm texture, which means keto swordfish is popular for grilling on barbecues during the Summer.

Swordfish is an expensive fish, but the flavor definitely makes up for the cost. They’re full of essential nutrients, which includes over 100% of the recommended daily amount of selenium. This is wonderful because it’s incredibly important for keeping our skin healthy and energy levels high. A typical serving also provides again, over 100% of the recommended daily intake for B-12, which is vital in helping our bodies produce red blood cells. Finally, they’re full of vitamin D, which is important in maintaining healthy, strong bones.

So, look no further readers! Right here you can find the best swordfish recipe in town!

Our recipe is very quick to make. Taking roughly 10 minutes to create, means you can treat yourself to restaurant quality food, without the hassle. It also uses ingredients that you can easily find in the local store, such as olive oil and red wine vinegar. Garlic, coriander, and cumin are also used, which blend perfectly for a warm tasting marinade. Finally, adding two teaspoons of grated lemon rind helps give the dish an additional “zing”.

Serving suggestions include placing the cooked steak on a bed of buttery asparagus, which helps give the dish a crunchy texture. We’ve also added a sliced avocado, which brings a beautiful creaminess to the rich tasting fish. Both accompaniments also have a fresh quality, which perfectly compliments the warm marinade.

So, why not have a go at creating this dish today and remember to tell us how you get on!

(Shoutout to Andres a.k.a Peace.Love.Keto for the awesome recipe)

The Best Keto Shrimp and Avocado Recipe

This recipe is one of the easiest to make on the website. This is because there are only two essential ingredients: shrimp and avocado. The cooking involved is also very simple, as the most difficult process is to toss the shrimp in a hot pan until they begin to caramelize.

Has that tickled your tastebuds? Well, keep on reading to learn more about the best keto shrimp and avocado recipe.

One of the reasons shrimp is an excellent seafood is that it has very low mercury levels. Mercury naturally occurs in all fish, as it is present in the waters that they feed in, but it can be dangerous to the human body. For example, high quantities are severely toxic to the central nervous systems, which is why we recommend not eating fish like mackerel and tuna too often.

Another benefit is that shrimp contain very high levels of omega-3s, which can help lower blood pressure and prevent the onset of heart disease. They can also help improve the human circulatory system, as they contain very small quantities of saturated fat. Finally, they are also high in calcium and protein, which are essential for improving bone strength and building muscle.

Moving back to the recipe, feel free to use prawns rather than shrimp. They still contain similar benefits, but may be easier to find in countries like the UK. Coming in at 384 calories, this delicious meal is also perfect for anyone watching their weight. In addition, it contains no carbohydrates, so it’s perfect for those following a keto diet.

We’d just like to give you one tip before you get started. Remember to always dry the shrimp with a paper towel. This is important because otherwise they will boil in the pan and will never caramelize.

Happy cooking!
