You haven’t tried proper keto pancakes until you have tried these!

Once upon a time, keto pancakes didn’t exist, and being on a diet meant you had to give up pretty much all of life’s culinary pleasures. Cakes, cookies, crisps, chocolate. The list is endless – and for some strange reason the food always seems to begin with the letter “c”.

Time to move on!

As the ketogenic diet got more popular, people began to experiment with their recipes more and more.  Thankfully nutritionists discovered wonderful substitutes that experimental chefs could use to create something new. And, no, it’s not the cronut! (although that mightn’t be a bad idea!). But instead, keto friendly of comfort food we all deserve to enjoy.

With the creation of wonderful ingredients such as Liquid Stevia, and alternative flours such as Coconut Flour and Almond Flour becoming more popular, it became easier to create for those on a keto diet to enjoy a nice plate of fluffy keto pancakes on a Sunday morning!

But I don’t just want to give you keto pancakes. I want to give you pancakes that make you scream “Hallelujah!” when you realize it’s 6:30am on a weekend and you can’t get back to sleep. So, just for you, I’ve experimented and experimented and finally come up with the best keto pancakes recipe in the world.

My Pancakes

I’m not going to lie to you. It took a lot of time cleaning up my messy kitchen before I finally cracked it. Sometimes the recipe was too eggy, too cream-cheesy, or just plain dry. And that wasn’t good enough. But now by moderating some of the ingredients, I’m proud to say, that these are the healthiest, tastiest keto pancakes I’ve ever tried.

As well as being super low carb, these are also gluten-free, which is perfect for anyone suffering dietary intolerances. Have I already mentioned that they’re also delicious? They’re very easy to make, and use regular keto ingredients such as cream cheese, eggs, coconut flour, and almond milk. The flavor comes from a little sweetener, vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon.

Coming in at 70 calories, 3g of fat, 6.1g of protein, 2.2g of carbs and only 1 measly gram of sugar, these pancakes are perfect for ANYONE. Counting calories? Lowering sugar? Upping your protein? No problem. These pancakes are perfect for you.

Trust me when I say these delicious pancakes are very similar to the real thing. They’re perfect for serving with tasty, crispy bacon and topping them with peanut butter really helps increase the quantity of protein too. My favorite toppings though, have to be sugar-free maple syrup. Sound too good to be true? Google Joseph’s Maple Syrup and you’ll believe me.

So, what is a person to do? Well, lucky for you, I have successfully found a way to enjoy this popular Southern-style cuisine, but without carbs!

The Lighter Side

Here, right on this page, is the best keto southern fried chicken tenders recipe around. Let me tell you why. Firstly, I make them with almond flour, which means they are gluten-free. Secondly, I bake rather than fry, which means you never even go near any unhealthy fats. And finally, these little beauties are so much easier and safer to make. As there’s no hot oil, there’s less of a chance of burning your skin. Plus, there’s no chance of you ever ending up with soggy chicken that has absorbed more oil than it should have done.

Let’s move onto the stats. These tenders only come in at a total of 365 calories, whereas regular fried chicken can cost you more than double that amount. And even though they contain 21 grams of fat, these fats are actually the healthy kind, as they come from the almond flour and protein-filled eggs. Speaking of protein, they have a MASSIVE 38.5 grams. That’s enough to keep you going for several hours!

As mentioned previously, there are practically no carbs and the net amount is 3.5 grams. Finally, there is only 1 gram of sugar in the whole recipe! One measly gram! Which means you won’t experience those rollercoaster ups and downs of tiredness.

It is one of our most popular recipes, but it may have been defeated by a new contender to the Keto Southern Fried Chicken throne!

This recipe was created by Redditor u/jvidican92, who has kindly allowed us to publish it here. As you can see from the photo, these keto chicken tenders look incredibly like the real thing! But the similarity doesn’t end there! They taste absolutely amazing, and have a crunch to match!

Keto Southern Fried Chicken

Our Original Almond Flour Keto Southern Fried Chicken Tenders could be a bit inconsistent with the coating. They are coated in almond flour and baked in the oven. Bake them for too short a time and they can be soggy, bake for too long and they can be burned and dried out. This made it tricky for them to become a true keto KFC replacement.  However, this isn’t an issue anymore.

Firstly, this recipe uses flavorless protein powder as a coating instead of almond flour. This allows you to fry the chicken instead of baking, as the protein powder gores crispy in the oil, where almond flour just absorbs the oil and goes soggy.

These keto tenders, however, are crispy, crunchy and full of flavor. If you are looking for a keto KFC fix, you have come to the right place!

Dieting is hard. It often means a complete lifestyle change and it’s easy to get fed up. Just thinking of recipes to make for dinner is difficult and if they taste good, well, that’s an added bonus. The base of this pizza is made from mozzarella. Sound a little crazy? Well often crazy leads to genius. Taking mozzarella and heating it in a non stick pan, results in a crispy piece of deliciousness that is then perfect for throwing on a load of toppings. It also means you’re not missing out on cheese altogether and you get that all important protein which will stop you from feeling hungry.

For pizza sauce, we’ve used Casa Visco Italian Style Pizza Sauce which is incredibly tasty. But if there’s another type you prefer, go for that. Buying sauce saves a lot of time, but be careful not to purchase one that is full of sugar. These types of sauces are full of the stuff and we don’t want all your hard work to go to waste.

Finally, top with anything you like. Veggies, different meats, extra cheese … the list is endless! We’ve added pepperoni, which has to be the ultimate keto pizza topping.

Here you’ve found the best smoked baby back ribs and coleslaw recipe, which is incredibly simple to make. The end result is meat that is moist and tender and the coleslaw’s secret ingredient (Bluetop Brand Garlic Hatch Hot Sauce) gives this side dish a wonderful, warm kick. The Best Keto Black Nugget Chicken

We’ve all heard of chicken nuggets. A certain well-known fast food company skyrocketed them into our lives in 1981 and it’s never been the same since. Chicken nuggets became the food of children’s parties and supermarket retailers started targeting adults with “grown-up” varieties. But have you heard of nugget chicken? No? Yes? Well whether you have or you haven’t, you’re sure to remember them after reading this article. Because we’ve got the best keto black nugget chicken recipe in the world.

These little pieces of heaven come without the carbs, as they’re only coating is a very special rub. No breadcrumbs. Or batter. Or frying. But what you get is an absolutely ingenious substitute for those on the Keto or Atkins diet that’s also utterly delicious!

Our recipe starts with the Black Nugget Marinade made by Con Yeager. What you need to do is rub this into the meat with your hands, massaging as deeply as you can. Then leave the meat in the fridge for at least 24hrs. You’ll know when it’s ready because you’ll be shocked when you open the fridge – it turns the meat black! If at all possible, it’s best to sous vide in the marinade, which is a fancy term for vacuuming the meat before leaving it to marinade. Another great idea is to cook some mushrooms and include the remaining juice as part of the marinade. There are no hard and fast rules here, so feel free to experiment and let us know your ideas in the comments!

Once you’ve marinated the meat, cook in the oven at 450 until crisp. Season with salt and pepper and finish with a slice of halloumi cheese and a drizzle of Blue Top hot sauce! Trust us, you’ll never go back to chicken nuggets again!

The Best Keto Burnt Ends Recipe

Oh, the joys of being on a keto diet. No, that was not sarcastic! Because being on a keto diet means you can enjoy the best keto burnt ends recipe in the entire world. Sounds delicious, right? Well, cry with happiness now, because it’s not expensive to make either!

The idea for this recipe came when I smoked a brisket on Saturday for my Girlfriend’s Birthday party. To prepare the meat, I started off by rubbing it down with Jake’s Grillin’ Beef Rub, which is a dry rub. The main ingredient is actually coffee, which gives the meat a beautiful caramelized texture every I use it. I then injected it with some beef stock and seasoning to give it extra flavor and ensure that it didn’t dry out too much.

Now onto the cooking! I smoked it at 225 till 165f then pulled it out and wrapped the flat, before cutting up the point for the burnt ends. Once I’d managed to chop it into cubes, I then placed it in a foil pan and mixed in 1/2 a cup of coke zero (trust me, it’s delicious!), 1/3 cup Walden Farms Zero Carb Honey BBQ (tasty!) and 1/3 cup Guys Sugar Free Spicy BBQ (yum!). Just to add, if you’re wanting to make this yourself, make sure you mix all these ingredients thoroughly. There’s nothing worse than missing out on all these goodies mixed together! When this is done, return the meat to the smoker and set it to 275. Keep it going until all the liquid is reduced and then you’re done! Delicious crispy chunks in hardly any time at all!

The first ingredient that has a strange name is Carbquick, which is just a low carbohydrate mix for baking with. It is very similar to Bisquick, but as it contains Carbalose, it has 90% fewer net carbs. There’s also Allulose in this recipe, which is just a type of sweetener. Feel free to use another type of sweetener if you’ve found one you particularly like.

The rest of the ingredients are simple. These include an egg, baking powder, heavy cream, avocado oil and coconut oil.
