- 10 oz (300g) Minced Beef (15% Fat)
- 4 oz (120g) Cheddar Cheese
- 9oz (250g) BaconStreaky
- To taste Salt & Pepper
Pretty much the keto holy grail! Ground beef, bacon and cheese, bound together in a ball of keto deliciousness! These burgers really are amazing. They take a bit of time to put together, but are so satisfying. You can wrap them up in a nice piece of lettuce, or just tuck in with a knife and fork, the result is the same…..a taste explosion!
Now the calories in each burger are borderline ridiculous, if you follow this recipe exactly you are looking at nearly 900 calories, but you are getting 75g of fat, 61g of protein and just 2g of carbs, so these really are the ultimate keto dinner. Maybe just don’t eat them every day! You can cut down the calories easily by using a little less bacon, using leaner beef (we used 15% fat beef) and a little less cheese.
Add your seasoning to your ground beef and work it in with your hands. Divide the beef in half, and form them into two patties.
Next up is wrapping up your burger in the bacon. Depending on your goals and macros you can adjust how much bacon you use, but we used quite a lot! About 6 slices per patty. But hey, keto has it's perks right!?
Try and cover as much of the patty as you can without covering the same spot too many times.
Now for the cooking! Put these puppies in the oven for about 25-30 mins, at 400F (200C). Keep an eye on them after about 20 mins, and you can take them out when the bacon has reached your preferred texture, some like it crispier than others!
And that's it, time to cut into them and watch the cheese explosion!
